Head Athletic Trainer

Mount Saint Joseph High School, a Catholic school for boys in Baltimore, has an opening for a Head Athletic Trainer. Mount St. Joseph is seeking a Head Athletic Trainer to support the health, care, and safety of MSJ student athletes. The Head Athletic Trainer is one of two full-time ATs on staff and will focus on the prevention and recognition of athletic injuries, evaluation and immediate care of those injuries; as well as serving as instructor to Sports Med 101 (an elective course for Juniors and Seniors). Additionally, this role facilitates the rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes and serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents. Applicants for the position should:

Hold a valid license to practice athletic training in the state of Maryland or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland.
Be certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s (NATA) role delineation study.
Be a member in good standing with NATA, the local NATA District and the State Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Be proficient in recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Be comfortable with EMR injury documentation, injury prevention education, concussion awareness, and management.
Be creative and self-motivated.
