Head Athletic Trainer

Mount Saint Joseph High School, a Catholic school for boys in Baltimore, has an opening for a Head Athletic Trainer. Mount St. Joseph is seeking a Head Athletic Trainer to support the health, care, and safety of MSJ student athletes.  The Head Athletic Trainer is one of two full-time ATs on staff and will focus on the prevention and recognition of athletic injuries, evaluation and immediate care of those injuries; as well as serving as instructor to Sports Med 101 (an elective course for Juniors and Seniors).  Additionally, this role facilitates the rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes and serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents.  A thorough list of specific job duties is available upon request.
Applicants for the position should:
  • Hold a valid license to practice athletic training in the state of Maryland or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Be certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s (NATA) role delineation study.
  • Be a member in good standing with NATA, the local NATA District and the State Athletic Trainers’ Association. 
  • Be proficient in recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
  • Be comfortable with EMR injury documentation, injury prevention education, concussion awareness, and management.
  • Be creative and self-motivated.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
