English

Overview

The English Department focuses on developing students’ skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking. Students read many types of texts, improve their literacy skills, perform research, and demonstrate the ability to think critically via class discussion and through their written work. Teachers integrate technology into courses. The skills learned in English classes connect to other disciplines and prepare students for future career opportunities.
