150th Anniversary

Celebrating 150 Years

On Thanksgiving Day in 1876, Mount Saint Joseph was officially dedicated, fulfilling the dream of founder Brother Bernardine, C.F.X. A few months later, on February 1, 1877, Douglas Walton walked through the doors as our very first student. From that humble beginning with just one young man and a mission to bring Xaverian education to Baltimore, Mount Saint Joseph has grown into a vibrant community of thousands of alumni, students, families, and friends.

Next school year, 2026-2027, we will celebrate our 150th anniversary, with each season centering on a specific theme. In the fall, we will honor our past; in the winter, we will rejoice in our present; and in the spring, we will look toward our future
