Important information regarding physicals, ImPACT testing, sportsmanship meetings, and winter sports tryouts. *All student athletes participating in a fall sport are required to complete their fall season before trying out for a winter sport. Students should notify the winter coach of their intent to try out.*
All students must establish a Healthy Roster account by emailing
csiebens@msjnet.edu or
dyoung@msjnet.edu with their name, birthdate, and graduation year. A physical dated after May 23, 2022 is required to be uploaded into this profile before they will be allowed to try out for a team, along with filling out and signing the Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk and Emergency Contact and Travel Permission forms located under the documents tab of the athlete’s profile. Video tutorials, resources, and explanation of Healthy Roster required documents/features can be found on the sports medicine page of our school website:
https://www.msjnet.edu/athletics/sports-medicine
If your insurance only allows a physical every two years, or you are not due for a new physical, we accept Patient First or Minute Clinic physicals. This will satisfy the requirements for participation in athletics.
ImPACT Testing
ImPACT testing will be completed at home. The baseline test is required for all incoming Freshmen, rising Juniors, and any transfer students new to The Mount. It must be completed before a student may try out for a sports team. You must use a computer, not an iPad or mobile device. It is recommended by ImPACT that you use Google Chrome to access the test and allow pop-up windows for the duration of the test. Complete the test in a distraction-free environment.
