In his career covering professional golf, Ryan has worked for The Golf Channel, and written for Yahoo Sports and other sports-centered online outlets. He currently is the owner of GolfNewsNet, which is one of the most popular golf websites for news, fantasy, player profiles, equipment reviews, and gambling information. He is also a partner with GolfTripX, a golf travel and destination site. He will be talking about his journey from UMD to NBC Sports to owning his own business and what he sees for his future. He will also be talking about the connections he has made in the industry and is always willing to work with students interested in getting involved in the sports journalism career path.

Representatives Mrs. Kim Hicks, a Reverend at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Irvington community; Dr. Christopher Dreisbach, an Episcopal priest, researcher of applied ethics, professor at St. Mary's Ecumenical Institute and Johns Hopkins University, and frequent lecturer on leadership ethics for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; ; and Police Chief Patrick Molloy and Sgt. Drew Kent from the Abington, PA police force will speak on the topic of community and police relations.
