Mount Saint Joseph is proud to have a long history of high-achieving Advanced Placement (AP) students, and the 2025 AP Exam results were our strongest yet. This year, 198 Mount Saint Joseph students took a combined total of 469 AP Exams—both the highest in the past five years—and a record-breaking 95.45% of those students earned a passing score of 3 or higher on at least one exam.
Many colleges and universities accept scores of 3 or higher for college credit in equivalent courses. MSJ students continue to outperform their peers across the state and country, with 91.9% of all exams taken by MSJ students earning a score of 3 or higher (compared to 72% nationally). Additionally, for the first time on record, more than half (50.3%) of the Class of 2025 earned a passing AP score during their time at MSJ. When including students who earned transferable college credit through MSJ’s growing Dual Enrollment Program, that number rises to 58.7%.
Mount Saint Joseph also celebrated its highest-ever number of students awarded AP Scholar status. A total of 106 students were recognized by the College Board for exemplary performance on AP Exams:
AP Scholars: 106 students earned scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
AP Scholars with Honors: 23 students earned an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams.
AP Scholars with Distinction: 46 students earned an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams—breaking last year’s record.
“We are incredibly proud of both our hardworking AP students and the exceptional preparation provided by our faculty,” says Principal Rob Peace. “It is inspiring to see them continue to achieve record-breaking results year after year, earning a meaningful advantage as they prepare for college and beyond. This continued excellence reflects the high standards and scholarly tradition that define Mount Saint Joseph.”
