Mr. Robert Peace Appointed Principal

The following letter was shared with the Mount Saint Joseph community announcing the appointment of Mr. Robert Peace as Principal.

Dear Mount Saint Joseph Community,

It is with deep gratitude and great confidence that I share an important announcement for our school community. After an interview process and a period of discernment, consultation, and prayer, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert Peace as Principal of Mount Saint Joseph High School, effective immediately.

Since May, Mr. Peace has served our community faithfully as Interim Principal. In that time, he has demonstrated his ability to lead Mount Saint Joseph with wisdom, steadiness, and a profound commitment to our Catholic and Xaverian mission. His leadership has been marked by presence, thoughtful decision-making, and an unwavering focus on the formation of young men entrusted to our care.

Mr. Peace brings to this role a deep understanding of Mount Saint Joseph, shaped by more than two decades of service as a teacher, administrator, and mentor. His experience spans academic leadership, faculty formation, and spiritual development, all rooted in the conviction that Catholic education exists to help students become the people God is calling them to be. He understands that excellence at The Mount is measured not only by academic achievement, but also by the character, faith, and purpose our graduates carry into the world.

Central to Mr. Peace’s leadership is the Xaverian charism, rooted in enduring personal relationships, humility, compassion, and a willingness to boldly step into an unknown future with faith. He has consistently challenged our faculty and staff to care deeply for every student, to remain innovative without losing sight of our mission, and to foster a community where classmates truly become brothers for life.

As we commemorate 150 years of Catholic and Xaverian education here at The Mount, I am confident that Mr. Peace is the right leader to guide us through our 150th anniversary year and into a future of sustained excellence. Please join me in congratulating Mr. Peace on his appointment and in offering prayers of support as he continues this important ministry of leadership at MSJ.
