Record Participation and Exceptional Results on AP Exams
Mount Saint Joseph students continued their tradition of academic excellence on Advanced Placement® (AP) exams this year, earning some of the strongest results in school history.
A record-high 203 students took 431 AP exams during the 2025–2026 school year, the highest level of AP participation in the past five years. Of these, an outstanding 93% of students earned a passing score of 3, 4, or 5 on at least one AP exam, and 93% of all AP exams administered also received a passing score.
Mount students' performance far exceeded global averages. Across all AP exams, students earned the highest score of 5 at nearly twice the global rate, scored a 4 or 5 at more than double the global rate, and achieved a 93% passing rate compared to the global average of 72%.
The College Board also recognized 98 MSJ students as AP Scholars, the second-highest total in school history despite a smaller senior class. Among them, a record-setting 49 students earned AP Scholar with Distinction, the highest honor awarded through the AP Scholar program.
The school's commitment to rigorous academics extends beyond AP coursework. Fifty-eight percent of the Class of 2026 graduated having already earned college credit through Mount Saint Joseph's Advanced Placement® and Dual Enrollment programs, giving graduates a meaningful head start on their college education.
