Gearing Up for Graduation

Senior year is a special time in any student's high school career, a time to look back on and celebrate all you have accomplished at The Mount, while also looking forward, with excitement and wonder, to what the future has in store. While senior year may look a bit different than you expected, we hope to honor the Class of 2021 and recognize your accomplishments in a multitude of ways.   • Senior Send-Off Website

    • The Senior Send-Off website offers ways for anyone - family, friends, classmates, teachers, alumni - to celebrate individuals from the class of 2021. The site allows you to leave a written message, a video, photos, and more for any student in the graduating class.
    • The deadline to submit a message for a graduate is Tuesday, May 25.
    • On May 29, after the graduation ceremony, seniors will be emailed a link to their individual pages which will feature all their personalized messages that family and friends have left for them.
  • Tower Climbs

    Tower Climbs took place during Senior Retreat and the Senior Picnic. Individual Tower Climbs can be arranged by contacting Laura Rzepkowski at lrzepkowski@msjnet.edu.
  • Father/Son and Mother/Son Dinners

    The Father/Son Mass and Dinner will be Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Center. Dress is casual.

    The Mother/Son Mass and Dinner will be Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Center. Dress is jacket and tie.

    Photos of the parent and son will be taken at each of these events.
  • Senior Celebration (in place of Prom)

    The Senior Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 15th from 6-10 p.m. This is a free event!  For accurate numbers, please RSVP by Friday, May 7, here: https://form.jotform.com/211154685333150.

    Food: Qdoba, Chick-fil-A, snacks, drinks, desserts
    Prizes: TVs, computer, tickets to games, corn hole, dorm bundles, beach bundles, gift cards, GoPro, Yeti, AND MORE!
    Games: Human Foosball, Giant checkers, billiards, Connect Four, skee-ball, spike ball, corn hole tournament, open gym (basketball), Virtual Reality beat saber, and more.

    There will also be a DJ/karaoke, and everyone will go home with a gift bag!
     
    Adherence to current COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect.  There will be temperature checks at the check-in area. Students must wear masks at all times while on campus. 
  • Senior Breakfast and Awards Assembly

    Thursday, May 27
    Every senior must attend!
    Dress code: dress coat, tie, dress shirt, dress pants, socks, dress shoes, clean-shaven, and hair at an acceptable length according to the school dress code. Masks are required.

    Breakfast - 8:30 a.m. in Memorial Gymnasium
    Awards Assembly - 10:00 a.m. in the Smith Center

  • Baccalaureate Mass

    Friday, May 28, 6:30 p.m.
    Plevyak Field at Mount Saint Joseph High School
    Every senior must attend! 
    Admission by ticket only.

    Dress code: Dress coat, tie, dress shirt, dress pants, socks, dress shoes, clean-shaven and hair at an acceptable length according to school dress code. Masks are required.
  • Graduation

    Saturday, May 29, 10:00 a.m.
    on Plevyak Field at Mount Saint Joseph
    This event will be held rain or shine.

    Seniors should report to the Smith Center by 8:30 a.m.
    Gates open at 9:00 a.m.
    Every senior must attend.
    Admission by ticket only. Relatives and friends can watch the live-stream event on YouTube.

    Dress code: Graduation tuxedo, black socks, black dress shoes, clean-shaven, and hair at an acceptable length according to the school dress code. Masks are required and will be provided for the graduates, courtesy of Mount Saint Joseph.

    Graduation tuxedos must be returned to Cy's of Catonsville on Monday, May 31, between 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Senior Events

Join the Brothers for Life Network

As Gael grads, you have the opportunity to join the Brothers for Life Network, which is a program designed to aid alumni in college and career mentorship. The Brothers for Life Network will provide you the opportunity to connect with alumni who are already established in their professions. The experienced alumni will act as "career coaches," helping you discern the best college courses to take or career paths to pursue, and will assist you in the search for internships or jobs after college graduation. Keep an eye out for more information about the program coming to you as you begin to transition into your new role as an alumnus.
