George E. Andrews, Jr.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Andrews came to MSJ as a social studies teacher in 1987. During his initial years at the School, he was involved in coaching track and cross country outside the classroom, and progressed to becoming the school’s director of admissions as well as an assistant principal. Mr. Andrews is a graduate of St. Mary’s Ryken High School – a Xaverian Brothers’ school in southern Maryland – and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Wheeling Jesuit University and a master’s degree in history from Duquesne University. In 1998, Mr. Andrews became Principal of York Catholic High School where he served in that capacity for fourteen years.
Mr. Norton graduated from Mount Saint Joseph in 1971 and soon returned to his alma mater to teach, coach, serve as assistant principal, and now is principal of the school. Mr. Norton earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a master's degree in education from Towson University. It was his passion for The Mount and his strong belief in the educational and spiritual environment that The Mount offers that brought him back to his alma mater and both are what keep him here today. He and his wife have two children and live in Pasadena.
Assistant Principal, Director of Staff Formation
Mr. Peace grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from the College of William and Mary. He also has a master's degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Education from Loyola University. Mr. Peace came to the Mount in 2002, where he taught religion and worked in campus ministry before moving into administration. He has found that the Xaverian values that are such an essential part of the fabric of the school provide a powerful guide to strengthening relationships with students, faculty, family, and God.
Assistant Principal, Director of Studies
Mr. McDivitt is a 1986 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph. Prior to becoming the assistant principal, he taught freshman Biology, Genetics and AP Biology and served as head of the science department. He pioneered the summer reading program at Mount Saint Joseph and organizes the school’s annual ski trip, whitewater rafting trip and other outdoor adventures. He also coaches the water polo and swim teams. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the University of Delaware and a master's degree in biology from Towson University.
Assistant Principal, Director of Students
Mr. Bianco graduated from Mount Saint Joseph in 2001 and returned as a teacher in 2005. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The Catholic University of America and his master’s degree in education from Loyola University, Maryland. Prior to his role as director of students, he worked in Campus Ministry and taught Theology. Mr. Bianco has also served The Mount as director of the intramural sports program for over a decade and is the current head coach for varsity volleyball.
