Due to inclement weather, Mount Saint Joseph is closed today, November 15, 2018. Staff should report by 9:00 a.m.
Parent/teacher conferences are canceled for today as well. We ask that you email teachers with whom you had conferences scheduled a preferred phone number where you can best be reached, or to indicate that an email exchange would suffice, or to indicate that you would like to try to re-schedule an in-person conference at some point in the next two weeks. Teachers will follow up today and tomorrow with phone calls and emails for remote conferencing and re-scheduling.
The St. Francis Xavier Society enrolls committed individuals who, in the spirit of St. Francis, dedicate themselves to the betterment of life by endorsing an educational process that integrates the rigors of academic excellence with the light and guidance of Divine faith. Realizing that today's young people are precious sources of goodness, members of the Society support the philosophy, values and experiences of Catholic education at Mount Saint Joseph. The Xaverian Brothers' philosophy of education leads young people to experience the love of God and neighbor in a caring community, to understand their faith and to develop and use their intellects and talents in the service of God and others. The Society has been established as an organization that requires an annual membership fee of one thousand dollars or more. These gifts are used to fund our tuition grant program which pairs Society members with needy students. In addition, the Society has assisted with many other program enhancements since its foundation in 1990.
Members of the St. Francis Xavier Society enable Mount Saint Joseph to carry out its mission as a Catholic school. Quality programs in a Christian environment are continual goals of our faculty and staff. Special objectives for the St. Francis Xavier Society are:
To fund the tuition grant program which is assisting over 330 students who have demonstrated financial need. Each family is awarded an average grant of $2,600. Grants range from $250 to over $7,100.
To support special projects initiated by the school's administration for ongoing support to the academic program and equipment needs.
To support the ongoing operational costs of the school (some Society members choose to have their gift used where funds are most needed).
Mount Saint Joseph has always provided the best opportunity for a well-rounded, Christ-centered education. Your gift will enable Mount Saint Joseph to continue its tradition of academic excellence.
In addition to the personal satisfaction and reward that comes from investing in Mount Saint Joseph High School, members of the St. Francis Xavier Society enjoy both spiritual benefits and certain exclusive privileges.
