In the late summer of 2012, Mount Saint Joseph broke ground on the largest construction project in the school’s history. Phase II of the Campaign for Mount Saint Joseph includes the renovation of the existing gymnasium and the construction of a 58,000 square-foot athletic complex.
The existing gymnasium is 30,000 square feet and was originally completed in 1954. Renovations will include replacing the roof, windows and plumbing, as well as the creation of classrooms, office space, and women’s and visiting team locker rooms in the basement. The new 58,000 square foot facility will include a second performance basketball court, a concession stand, a wrestling room, men’s locker rooms, a training suite, and a fitness center.
The project is slated for completion in the spring of 2014.
